Le L.A.C. à Sigean, lieu d’art contemporain hors normes, niché au coeur de la campagne narbonnaise, fête cette année ses vingt ans d’existence. En parallèle à la présentation d’oeuvres de la collection de Piet Moget (l’initiateur du lieu avec sa fille Layla), le L.A.C. accueille durant l’été 2011 une exposition de la collection privée de la famille Klosterfelde. Sous la figure tutélaire de Jacques Tati et de
son chef-d’oeuvre Play Time, Ami Barak, le commissaire de l’exposition, a sélectionné un ensemble d’oeuvres emblématiques d’une collection tout à fait exceptionnelle qui couvre un demi-siècle de création contemporaine et autant de figures marquantes de l’art de cette période. L’exposition donne toute la mesure de cette passion.

The L.A.C., near Sigean (Aude), an anything but conventional
contemporary art venue, nestled in the heart of the Narbonne countryside, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. During the summer of 2011, in tandem with the presentation of works from the collection of Piet Moget (whose brainchild, along with his daughter Layla, this is), the L.A.C. is hosting an exhibition of the Klosterfelde family’s private collection. Under the guardian figure of Jacques Tati and his masterpiece Play Time, Ami Barak, the exhibition’s curator, has selected a set of emblematic works from a thoroughly outstanding collection spanning half a century of contemporary art and as many conspicuous art figures from this period. The exhibition gives full voice to this passion.
