Faire le choix d’oeuvres contemporaines dans la ville en
interrogeant le public sur ses amours, ses doutes, c’est accepter le questionnement et se laisser prendre au jeu des mots et des images. Vouloir ces ponctuations colorées à la fois poétiques et graphiques en invitant à la conversation, c’est accepter de regarder l’espace public autrement. Véronique Barthe redessine les contours de la ville et avec cette proposition artistique, soutenue par le CAC La Chapelle Saint-Jacques au côté de la mairie de Saint-Gaudens, fait émerger un réel engagement artistique attaché au sentiment d’altérité. Choosing contemporary artworks in the city by questioning the public about their loves and doubts is to accept such questioning and plunge into wordplay and imagery.
Wanting these colourful and at once poetic and graphic punctuations by inviting conversation is to accept to
look differently at the public place. Véronique Barthe redraws the city’s outlines and with this artistic idea,
