Le massif de la Maladeta, situé en Espagne, est le plus haut des Pyrénées et c’est là que la Garonne prend sa source. Pour le Centre Omnisports de la Communauté d’Agglomération d’Agen, Maladeta prend la forme d’une vaste peinture installée au sol. Ce tapis, inspiré d’une carte géologique des Pyrénées, trace un dessin complexe où cohabitent formes abstraites et signes, offrant un paysage schématique et mystérieux. Depuis le mur d’escalade, c’est un panorama qui se dévoile, foisonnant de détails colorés propices au jeu, sur lequel les usagers circulent sans avoir conscience de l’espace symbolique qu’ils investissent.

The Maladeta range, in Spain, is the highest in the Pyrenees, and it is here that the source of the river Garonne lies. For the sports centre in the Greater Agen Community, Maladeta takes on the form of a vast
painting installed on the floor. Inspired from a geological map of the Pyrenees, this carpet has a complex design in which abstract forms rub shoulders with signs, offering a mysterious and diagrammatic landscape. From the climbing wall, a panorama unfolds, brimming with colourful details, ideal for games, on which users move about unaware of the symbolic space they are in.
